Position Summary

Under the direction of the Occupational Therapist, the Occupational Therapy Assistant supports patient/resident well-being, rehabilitation and recovery. Screens and treats patients/residents, documents services and communicates with families and interdisciplinary team members while facilitating optimization of patient/resident participation in activities of daily living.

Duties & Responsibilities


  • Provide professional Occupational Therapy services.

  • Completes documentation accurately and timely.

  • Participates in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement initiatives.

  • Works efficiently and effectively whole utilizing facility resources responsibly.

  • Maintains adequate and up to date knowledge of Occupational Therapy, Rehabilitation Services and setting specific clinical and regulatory practices.

  • Complies with all facility policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements


  • Must be a graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.

  • Must have one year experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (geriatric rehabilitation setting preferred)

  • Must have current license to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in facility-specific state

  • Must have current certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.

  • Must have current certification in Basic Life Support.

  • Reliable transportation required
